I have lots of memories of Rita but a couple stand out in particular. The first one was when I was visiting them at their new flat in Paxton (I think it was Paston). Rita had made a lovely roast dinner, as we all began to eat I accidentally knocked the table leg and my lunch flew off of the table on to the brand new carpet. It was quiet for a moment and then Rita smiled and said it wasn't a problem and I wasn't too feel badly about it accidents happen. In that moment Rita was so kind and gracious, she made me feel comfortable and relaxed when I'm sure she was thinking about her poor carpet.
I also remember Rita collecting Capodimonte china, she loved the intricate designs and colours and was always thrilled when she added to her collection, she must have loved it because dusting it must have been a nightmare.
Finally, I remember Rita as a warm, patient , quiet and creative person. Rita had hidden strengths that helped her and Paul live a happy married life, she was Paul's rock as he was hers. She was an amazing special lady.
